49th annual Soil Survey set Feb. 2-3 at A&M

COLLEGE STATION -- The 49th annual Soil Survey and Land Resource Workshop is set for Feb. 2-3 at the Rudder Conference Center on the Texas A&M University campus.
This informal, interactive conference combines presentations and posters about ongoing soil survey and land-resource activities, methods and materials to give participants a well-rounded up-date on soil surveying, said Sam Feagley, Texas AgriLife Extension Service state soil environmental specialist and workshop coordinator.
Registration will be $80, Feagley said. Registration for students is $25.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 2 on the first floor of the center, with presentations and posters in Rooms 301 and 308.
The discussion will cover new initiatives, plans, education/ informational efforts, research findings, consultancies, new methods or materials, and other topics that serve to further the development, use and understanding of soil surveys and associated information, Feagley said.
